Position Overview

The role of a Caregiver is essential in delivering compassionate support, personal assistance, and companionship to clients in their residences and various environments. Caregivers may engage clients in social activities, assist with meal preparation, perform light housekeeping duties, or provide reminders for medication intake.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Brooks Rehabilitation.
  • Ensure respectful and dignified treatment of clients and their families while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Stay attuned to the needs of clients, providing care that is suitable for their condition and age.
  • Report any observed changes in client status and responses to the Administrative Team and/or Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain professional interactions with Team Coordinators, Schedulers, and Managers.

Qualifications

  • Genuine compassion for others.
  • A commitment to caring for seniors and/or vulnerable adults in home or facility settings.
  • Current BLS CPR Certification is required.
  • Valid Driver's License with proof of auto insurance is necessary for traveling to client homes.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and Level 2 background check.
  • Successful completion of a home health aide or nursing aide education program is preferred. A current Certified Nursing Assistant license or Home Health Certification is also preferred.
