Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is an innovative company leading the way in satellite technology. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Satellite Propulsion Systems Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling the mechanical/electrical components of the propulsion system for satellites in a cleanroom and ESD control environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting process work and reviewing output for quality and adherence to standards and procedures
  • Participating in daily team meetings, end-of-shift reporting, and coordinating efforts to minimize production interruptions
  • Supporting safety standards and operations protocol while ensuring team compliance

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.

The starting salary for this role is up to $83,200/year, with employees eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits are provided. This information is provided per the Washington State Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on market location.

A day in the life of a Satellite Propulsion Systems Engineer involves assembling the propulsion system and helping to identify process improvements to improve build efficiency. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams on production hardware and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, start-up like environment and is able to apply their technical expertise and commitment to quality to positively impact team metrics and organization goals.

To be successful, you need to be highly motivated and detail-oriented while showing the highest standards of execution.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years relevant aerospace/automotive manufacturing experience or equivalent industry experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, final integration, and/or harness integration experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Aircraft & Powerplant certification/license, automotive certifications, or other technical certifications/AA's

Able to read, interpret, and work from engineering documentation and/or drawings

Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware, and clean room requirements

Experience working with MES software packages

Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Ability to work effectively in a team environment
