The RN is tasked with delivering care across various settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments, while ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in alignment with agency standards.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing health evaluations, identifying patient needs and barriers to care.
  • Utilize sound judgment to assess situations and implement medical or emergency interventions.
  • Administer medications accurately and monitor patient responses.
  • Observe and document changes in patient health status following treatment adjustments.
  • Support clients in lifestyle modifications to promote health and well-being.
  • Provide age-appropriate education tailored to individual patient conditions.
  • Implement effective infection control practices.
  • Review and analyze medical histories to inform care decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and community resources regarding patient needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative care planning.
  • Coordinate medical appointments and referrals to community healthcare providers.
  • Facilitate laboratory work and interpret unusual results.
  • Employ de-escalation techniques when managing challenging client behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record system.
  • Verify client insurance details and secure necessary authorizations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
  • Experience in primary care, mental health, or substance abuse settings is preferred.
  • Current BLS or CPR certification as mandated by program requirements.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in current healthcare delivery principles, particularly in diverse populations.
  • Competent in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
  • Ability to assess situations swiftly and apply appropriate medical interventions.
  • Skilled in fostering collaborative relationships with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Special Requirements:

Possession of a valid Florida driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Completion of mandatory background checks and training as required by the organization.


Physical Requirements:

The role demands mobility and the ability to perform physical tasks throughout an 8-12 hour shift, including lifting a minimum of 10 pounds. Candidates should possess sufficient visual and auditory acuity to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.
