Job Summary

VibraLife is seeking a skilled Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in coordinating and implementing programs and activities to meet the psychosocial needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Activities Director in planning and implementing activities for residents, including one-on-one and group settings.
  • Conduct activities that promote socialization, recreation, and relaxation among residents.
  • Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to ensure that activities meet the needs and interests of residents.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge of resident preferences and needs to ensure that activities are tailored to their interests.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Ability to operate audio-visual equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a long-term care facility.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to motivate people and be sensitive to their needs.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
