Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Team Leader to join our team. As a Restaurant Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving store operations during scheduled shifts, modeling, teaching, and demonstrating MOD PIZZA's purpose in all interactions. You will set the tone for the shift, create a positive vibe, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for both team members and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and sustain the tone of the shift by keeping the energy high and creating a positive vibe.
  • Responsible for quality and safety of all food, including tasting, checking preparation and storage, and reporting any product outages.
  • Listen, acknowledge, and resolve any team member and/or customer concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Manage cash handling and inventory, taking orders as needed and directed by the General Manager.
  • Conduct coaching in the moment, manage shift duties, and address/escalate equipment malfunctions.
  • Foster a growth-oriented environment, focusing on the well-being of the team and celebrating successes.

Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months in the All Star position, demonstrating quality coaching, training, and multi-tasking within the shift.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience coaching, teaching, and inspiring others.
  • Proven success in following and enforcing processes and standards, correcting and coaching in a compassionate manner.
  • Customer service skills and a proven ability to remain calm and focused.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience successfully providing on-the-job training to others in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience as a shift lead in a retail environment.
Physical Requirements

As a member of our team, you must have the ability to work in an open kitchen environment, rotating between front and back of house. This requires:

  • Walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • Handling or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Operating hand-held appliances, sharp knives, and various kitchen equipment.
Working Conditions

As a Restaurant Team Leader, you will work in a fast-paced environment with:

  • High noise levels due to operations, customers, and overhead music.
  • Varying schedules, including evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
  • Indoor or outdoor settings, depending on the store location.
