About the Role

We are seeking a senior engineer with expertise in simulation of electromagnetic and radar systems. This role will focus on leading our initiatives related to replicating sensors in our simulated environments. At Applied Intuition, we encourage all engineers to take ownership over technical and product decisions, closely interact with users to collect feedback, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture.

Responsibilities

* Design and implement core components of our proprietary simulation engine
* Lead projects related to robotics such as motion planning, mapping, and system modeling
* Work with top autonomy companies to understand and solve unique challenges in simulation-based development and scalable testing of autonomy stacks

Requirements

* Experience in computational electromagnetics and radar signal processing
* Experience with simulation under geometric and physical optics principles
* Experience with modeling material interactions for various sensing wavelengths
* Experience implementing models in Python and C++

Nice to Have

* Experience with modeling radar systems in complex 3D environments
* Hands-on experience with characterizing radar systems in lab environments
* Experience with various techniques such as MOM, FDTD, or SBR
* Competent skills and experience in linear algebra, antenna theory, optics, circuits, photonics, or electro-optics
* Experience with designing applications targeting GPU processing
