Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Emergency Medicine at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with attending physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care: Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient needs, working in collaboration with attending physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Patient Education and Psychosocial Support: Educate patients and families on care and recommended resources, providing psychosocial support in a caring and professional manner.
  • Information Management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation, protecting patient information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Quality Management: Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, ensuring compliance with patient-related healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, maintaining and advancing clinical competency, and serving as a clinical resource for new staff members.
Qualifications

We require a graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program, with a strong clinical background and experience in Emergency Medicine. Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or Connecticut State Registered Nurse License is also required. Additional certifications and continuing education credits may be necessary based on position and specialty.
