Job Summary

The Yale New Haven Health system is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Medicine Physician to join our team. As an Occupational Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing medical care to injured workers, managing their rehabilitation, and providing sick care services for common conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care services, including assessing workplace injuries or illnesses and supporting the leadership team at the assigned workplace.
  • Works with the site lead nurse to attain the most efficient and highest quality Occupational Health office.
  • Supervises Physician Assistants and/or APRNs, resident physicians, medical students, and other paraprofessional healthcare students.
  • Participates in educational activities related to departmental needs, including maintaining MRO certification and FMCSA certification.

Requirements

  • Board Certified in internal medicine, emergency medicine, family practice, or occupational medicine.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the practice of occupational medicine and 3 years in urgent care or emergency medicine.
  • Experience in team leadership and supervising PAs and APRNs is a plus.
