Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitting Superintendent to join our team at Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Pipefitting Department personnel to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Develop and implement plans to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production and minimize delays.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on production progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a shipyard or related industry, with 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a shipyard environment, which can be physically demanding and requires adherence to safety protocols.
