Job Title: Pipefitting Superintendent

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in pipefitting and leadership skills. As a Pipefitting Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising the activities of the Pipefitting Department personnel and maximizing efficiency and productivity of supervisors and production workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of pipefitting personnel to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve productivity and efficiency in the Pipefitting Department.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and minimize delays.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to pipefitting personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 5-7 years of experience in pipefitting and supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical ability to work in a shipyard environment and wear personal protective equipment.
