Position Overview:

This role is essential in supporting students who face challenges in language, articulation, fluency, and other communication disorders that affect their educational journey.

Compensation Structure:

  • Salary Range: $43,000 - $74,886 based on the Teachers' Salary Schedule
  • Additional 5% for Special Education Supplement
  • Extra $5,000 for those holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide therapy for students with communication difficulties.
  • Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance student learning and support.
  • Engage in evaluations and provide expert consultation regarding communication strategies.

Qualifications Required:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a clinical practicum with a minimum of 400 hours, including direct client contact.
  • Successful completion of a nine-month, full-time, paid postgraduate professional experience.
  • Supervision by a licensed speech-language pathologist with at least two years of experience.
  • Passing scores on examinations approved by the Board of Examiners.
