Job Title: Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Matrix Providers is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional healthcare services to our Military Service Members and their families at the Naval Health Clinic, Newport, RI.

Job Summary:
  • Provide comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to patients dealing with various issues, including pain management, psychological factors influencing physical conditions, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to support patients in managing their physical health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality care and ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Participate in individual and group appointments, as well as group medical appointments, including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and Drop-in Group Medical Appointments (DIGMA).
  • Conduct psychological testing and assessments, as appropriate, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion of an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • One year fellowship or residency in health psychology or behavioral medicine, or one year of experience in the last three years in the evaluation and treatment of patients with pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
  • Current, complete, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.
