Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to provide high-quality laboratory services at a medical facility in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in performing automated and non-automated laboratory procedures, including chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, serology, bacteriology, and immunohematology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform phlebotomy to obtain patient specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Evaluate the suitability of specimens for analysis and request new specimens as needed.
  • Generate laboratory results from the work area into the laboratory computer system.
  • Edit and verify results recorded into the computer system.
  • Conduct quality control procedures on equipment, reagents, and products.
  • Calibrate, standardize, and maintain instruments.
  • Conduct additional tests to clarify abnormal results and identify those needing immediate physician attention.
  • Select, perform, evaluate, and monitor the performance of test procedures.
  • Stock and maintain specialized supplies used in the work area.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • ASCP certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum one-year experience within the past 5 years.
