Job Overview

Dean's Professional Services is currently seeking a dedicated and patient-oriented Culinary Specialist to join our team in a healthcare setting.

The Culinary Specialist will be tasked with the preparation, portioning, grilling, and presentation of a diverse range of hot and cold food items for various meal periods, including Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare menu items in accordance with established recipes and utilize appropriate ingredients to meet production and quality standards.
  • Ensure the freshness of ingredients and final dishes.
  • Handle and store food items safely.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly.
  • Cook meals for patients, café services, catering events, and staff areas, ensuring high quality and proper presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Production Chef and Food Service Coordinators to guarantee timely meal preparation and delivery.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cook is essential.
  • Food Handler Certification is required.

Position Details:

  • Shifts may vary.
  • Compensation starts at $19/hr based on experience, plus benefits.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, dental, vision, and 401k.
  • This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
  • Work environment is an outpatient facility.
