Role Summary:

As a Culinary Specialist at Parc Communities, your primary responsibilities will include ingredient preparation, cooking flavorful dishes, upholding quality standards, and maintaining a sanitary workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations. Our culinary team meticulously follows recipes and adapts them to accommodate resident preferences.

Reporting Structure:

  • Department: Dining Services
  • Direct Supervisor: Executive Chef

Employment Information:

  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Hourly Rate: $15.50

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • Capability to develop recipes for specific dietary requirements
  • Serv Safe Certification (Food Handler's Permit in TX)
  • Understanding of state food handling regulations
  • Proficient in kitchen equipment operation and safety protocols
  • Flexibility to assume various kitchen roles as needed
  • Professional and positive attitude towards residents and colleagues

Key Duties:

  • Prepare daily meals in accordance with the menu
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and quality benchmarks
  • Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Assist with equipment upkeep and food inventory management
  • Maintain accurate records and present food attractively
  • Engage in special events and training sessions
  • Carry out tasks as directed by the Executive Chef
