Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmology Triage Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging incoming patient calls, gathering necessary information, and ensuring all calls and messages are handled in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage all incoming patient calls, emails, and faxes regarding scheduling, appointments, prescription refills, and patient questions.
  • Gather all necessary patient information and relay to the physician.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients while assisting staff and physicians.
  • Triage urgent calls and documentation for patient appointments, questions, or inquiries.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Higher education preferred.
  • Call center experience desired. Ophthalmology experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
