POSITION SUMMARY:

As a skilled Radiology Technologist with Finger Lakes Health, you will perform technical radiographic assignments, exercising complex skill, judgement and knowledge of the principles and methods of Radiologic Technology. Your expertise will be utilized to perform diagnostic radiographic studies as requested, operating portable diagnostic radiographic equipment where needed. You will also be responsible for Infection Control according to Universal Precautions, providing care to infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Minimum:
A Radiology Technology program in an AMA approved 2 year program or AAS degree in Radiologic Technology is required.

LICENSE:

Minimum:
A NYS license is mandatory.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:
ARRT certification is required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:
Completion of a 24 month course by a recognized AMA approved school in Radiology is necessary. A broad background in all technical areas of Diagnostic Radiology is also required.

Preferred:
1-2 years experience in related radiology fields is preferred.

SKILLS:

Minimum:
Maintaining mandatory CEC-12 per year in Radiology Technology is essential. You must also be able to handle confidential information with discretion and deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling is also required. Computer literacy is necessary.

$31.93-$36.16
