Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ashe Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Properly identify patients prior to exams and serve all patients referred to the department for radiologic examination.
  • Position patients on examination tables and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Acquire images that comply with departmental standards of high quality.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Operate mobile x-ray equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patients' bedsides.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program that is AMA approved and meets the requirements of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • At least one year of radiology experience is preferred, but a less experienced applicant will be considered.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible.
  • CPR certification.
