Responsibilities:


Supports the comprehensive sales strategy for the shop, including a promotional plan that utilizes various communication methods to engage potential customers.


  • Provides assistance and feedback to the NNS Manager and Lead regarding merchandise and sales.
  • Aids the NNS Shop Manager and Lead with product presentation, including in-store and window displays, while training volunteers to assist as well.
  • Collaborates with the Manager, Coordinator, and Supervisor on special sales initiatives.
  • Restocks merchandise as necessary.
  • Works closely with NNS volunteers, offering training and support.
Delegates responsibilities appropriately and fosters strong, positive working relationships.

Supports the financial and operational objectives of the gift shops. Understands the overall strategy and budget of the department while adhering to operational policies.

  • Assists with product receipt and donations, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Supports the NNS Manager and Lead in executing the daily operations of the Gift Shops.
  • Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the department's work schedule.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

Preferred or Specialized

Education:
High School diploma or GED required.

Experience:
Previous retail experience

Experience in a thrift shop setting; experience working with and supervising volunteers/employees.

License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver's license required when driving any vehicle for work-related purposes.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Outlook and Microsoft Office;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage volunteers and staff
  • Vision for growth and development of Volunteer Services
  • Effective time management skills

  • Strong project management capabilities
Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds.

Other:
Utilization of standard equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the position.

Experience with Point of Sale systems.
