Position Overview

The role of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is crucial in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of our properties. This position involves collaborating with the Maintenance Director and Community Director to uphold the physical integrity of our facilities, ensuring they remain safe, appealing, and comfortable for all residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of property and equipment.
  • Oversee inventory management for maintenance supplies.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and allocate tasks effectively.
  • Create and manage work schedules to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to all maintenance-related policies and procedures.
Essential Duties

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to guarantee that all units and community facilities are in optimal working condition. This includes:

  • Addressing service requests promptly.
  • Preparing units for rental availability, which may involve painting and landscaping tasks.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; advanced training or a degree in building maintenance, management, construction, or related fields is preferred.
  • Proficiency in various trades, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • A valid driver's license and insurance.
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions, including lifting weights up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more than 50 pounds. Candidates must be willing to work on-call shifts as necessary.

Certifications

Preferred certifications include:

  • HVAC/EPA certification.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
