Job Summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at TDIndustries, you will oversee the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of assigned facilities and related systems. This includes HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. You will supervise the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of facilities mechanical components and electrical equipment and systems in accordance with SOPs, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a working supervisor for assigned personnel and instruct them on daily work to be completed.
  • Develop work schedules and ensure adherence to company policy.
  • Monitor the performance of assigned area staff, including permanent subcontractors.
  • Consult with managers regarding disciplinary issues and recommend measures to be taken.
  • Conduct timely, complete, and meaningful performance management conversations.
  • Plan and oversee the delivery of service to customers, both with hands-on work and as a trainer for direct reports, client's staff, and other contractors.
  • Respond to facility service work orders from building occupants.
  • Monitor, check, and evaluate the completion of major repairs and in-depth planned maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency calls, working with police, fire, and emergency service crews to protect company property and employees.
  • Keep records of safety, health, and environmental issues each working day.
  • Ensure the work crew follows all company and customer safety practices and fully utilizes assigned Personal Protective Equipment each work day.
  • Perform a monthly quality and safety walk-through of the entire site with a customer direct report or as needed.
  • Work with the designated Site Safety Technician to initiate safety topics and ensure bi-weekly safety meetings are conducted and that the required attendance sheets are completed and on file.
  • Read and provide interpretations to all compliance requirements, blueprints, schematics, O&M manuals, and specifications to ensure standardization of work.
  • Cover defined shifts and perform maintenance and operational duties as required to assure contract compliance.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Current universal refrigeration license and/or other trade licenses as required.
  • Proven experience as Facilities Supervisor or relevant position.
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, delegate, and control the work process.
  • Good analytical/critical thinking.
