Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at Kinetica. As a key member of our food safety and quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our meat product manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with quality assurance, sanitation, maintenance, warehouse, and production personnel to ensure timely execution of company operations and uncompromised food safety compliance.
  • Train and develop associates on food safety, GMPs, and other relevant topics.
  • Collect and report raw, commodities, finished product, and micro environmental samples in a timely manner, and communicate discrepancies and violations to the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Director.
  • Enter food safety and quality data accurately and efficiently into computer databases.
  • Maintain records of micro environmental sampling, raw, commodities, and finished goods testing, and report and communicate out-of-specification results and documents corrective actions.
  • Evaluate raw and finished product for defects and non-conformance to quality standards, and accurately complete and submit supporting documentation.
  • Assist with microbiological testing of new products, technologies, and other relevant tasks.
  • Ensure GMPs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed.
  • Act as a backup for Food Safety Quality Assurance technicians.
  • Communicate and interact with manufacturing line employees on a regular basis.
  • Maintain open lines of communication and positive working relationships with manufacturing staff.
  • Set a positive example by following all safety and GMP requirements at all times.
  • Perform routine sanitation monitoring work, including area assessment, organization, and auditing.
  • Adhere to all company GMPs and follow company directives on regulatory, product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee, and environmental standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently collaborate, communicate, and guide team members.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work PM and AM shifts, weekend, and holiday hours, as needed.
  • Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions necessary to perform duties assigned.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures, production processes, and quality control.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including uses.
  • Basic levels of sanitation equipment and practices.
  • Knowledge of various chemicals used in the sanitation process.
  • Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to convey information to others.
  • Coordination skills.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and understand written and verbal work-related documents.
  • Monitoring skills.
  • Ability to work alone safely to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to perform physical demands of the role, including ascending, descending, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, feeling, grasping, etc.
