Job Summary

Universities Space Research Association (USRA) is seeking a highly skilled Business Development/Capture Manager to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and executing capture strategies, and leading proposal teams to win new contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute capture strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Lead proposal teams to develop and submit winning proposals
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and USRA leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development strategies
  • Provide subject matter expertise on business development and capture management best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, engineering, and/or business
  • 10 years of related work experience serving in business development/capture management or technical program management roles within the federal government contracting arena
  • Proven success and network of contacts with one or more of the following government agencies with a particular focus on DoD: NASA, NOAA, EPA, NSF, DOE, FAA and DoD
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a technical discipline, engineering, and/or business
  • Experience working with Proposal Management Systems; e.g. Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong technical acumen
Working Conditions

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Extensive online usage. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, and use their hands. Keyboarding for large time spans each day will be a significant part of this position.

Telecommute: Washington, DC, or close proximity to current/potential customers preferred; remote possible

Travel: Up to 25%
