Job Description:

At Vision Achievement, we are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural engineering solutions for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee assigned projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Design and Development: Prepare plans and specifications for projects, prepare preliminary cost estimates and rough orders of magnitude, and resolve construction and design problems.
  • Technical Leadership: Direct technical staff in drafting, surveying, and inspection duties, and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
  • Communication: Liaise with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems, and develop creative solutions to meet project requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Experience: Two years of professional structural engineering experience, including relevant project design and construction management.
  • Certifications: Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Washington, and certification as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in computer-aided drafting programs such as AutoCAD.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with: Computer-aided drafting programs, Washington State Energy Code compliance, and phone systems such as Mitel.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
