Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate monthly financial forecasting for projects and contribute to the annual capital planning process.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to refine capital plans as necessary.
  • Oversee the execution of the annual capital plan, ensuring alignment with financial and scheduling expectations.
  • Lead the formulation of project scope, cost estimates, and economic justifications to support funding requests for designated projects.
  • Manage all phases of design, procurement, contracting, execution, commissioning, and project turnover to guarantee successful project delivery.
  • Implement proven technologies and best practices in project design and execution to enhance safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the manufacturing of premium polymer products.
  • Identify and engage external resources as needed to support project implementation effectively.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and communication with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Guarantee compliance with established project management protocols and engineering standards, ensuring all projects meet regulatory requirements.
  • Foster effective working relationships across all organizational levels, particularly with Procurement, Operations, and Maintenance, to achieve project and business objectives.
  • Uphold safety standards for all personnel involved in project execution, regardless of their employer.
  • Provide leadership in adhering to management of change protocols.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering or management within an industrial or manufacturing context.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all organizational levels and maintaining productive vendor relationships.
  • Strong time management abilities, demonstrating prioritization skills to achieve desired outcomes; collaborative approach with a focus on building robust working relationships.
  • Proficient understanding of procurement processes and SAP systems.

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Familiarity with economic principles and justification methodologies.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities.
  • Understanding of management of change processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations (e.g., chemical, refining) and associated safety practices.
  • Familiarity with common manufacturing equipment (e.g., pumps, exchangers, valves, piping).
