Job Title: Scientist

At BioPhase, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for performing mission-critical experiments to support the development and optimization of novel assays on our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experimentation and Data Analysis: Independently plan, execute, and perform statistical data analysis of research experiments using immunochemistry, fluorescence/luminescence-based detection systems, western blotting, and other methods.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize analytical and statistical techniques to characterize experimental results, and systematically optimize methods to maximize sensitivity and reproducibility.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Communicate results and prepare research summaries, and provide training and guidance for junior team members.
  • Project Management: Proactively troubleshoot workflows and experiments, taking ownership of results, interpretations, scope, strategy, and tactics at the project level.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure laboratory activities comply with safety guidelines and best practices, and maintain clear and complete logs of research results in electronic form.
Requirements:
  • Education: Typically requires a Master's degree in a scientific discipline; and/or a PhD in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Prefer a PhD in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering or similar field, with 2+ years of experience in industry or equivalent.
  • Skills: Expertise in the design and development of biochemical and/or immuno-assays, self-motivated with superior organization and observation skills, and strong working knowledge of protein biochemistry.
