Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Building, Energy, and Infrastructure (BEI) Group in our Jacksonville or Clearwater offices. As a key member of our team, you'll work on projects in the Buildings, Energy, and Infrastructure group, supporting power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and voice/data systems for various facility types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design efforts for projects, producing design/construction drawings and specifications, and acting as the Engineer of Record.
  • Act as the Client interface for project electrical matters, communicating and coordinating designs with other discipline professionals and Client representatives.
  • Undertake and direct evaluations of electrical equipment/systems, lighting, fire alarm, and specialty building systems, preparing design computations and assessments.
  • Generate and oversee electrical design/construction drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD software.
  • Assess the condition of electrical systems within existing facilities and ensure completion of electrical design tasks within budget and on schedule.
  • Assist in the development of subordinate staff in electrical design best practices and stay current with local, state, and federal design standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 8-12 years of documented applicable experience working on facilities similar to those described above.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, with current NCEES.
  • Strong organization, technical, and communication skills, with excellent Client communication skills.
  • Significant experience using Autodesk REVIT, with experience with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software, as well as Bluebeam.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) commensurate with their years of experience.
  • Able to complete work consistently with flexibility to accommodate varying project demands.
  • Experience leading the design efforts of subordinate staff and maintaining a high level of precision and accuracy.
