**Mechanic - Heavy Duty Vehicle Specialist**

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at JCSI. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy duty vehicles.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure all vehicles are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Work with our team to identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve fleet efficiency.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our fleet's mechanical systems and components.
Collaborate with our maintenance team to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies to ensure our fleet remains competitive.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience working with heavy duty vehicles.
CDL A or B preferred, but will train.
ASE certification in at least two (2) of the following areas: H2 Diesel Engines, H3 Drive Train, H4 Brakes, H5 Suspension, H6 Electrical/Electronic Systems, H7 Heating, Ventilation, and A/C, or H8 Preventative Maintenance.
Class 7 Pennsylvania State Motor Vehicle Inspection License preferred.
AC 608 and 609 certification preferred.
Must possess and own hand tools.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
