This is a versatile role that requires exceptional communication skills, analytical and organizational abilities, and a passion for working in team-oriented environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and be able to apply their knowledge to support the development of quick response surveys and troubleshooting of mission chilled water-cooling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of Energy Management Control System (EMCS) information to generate building loads and cross-verify field measurements.

  • Install and maintain temporary metering at facilities to determine facility capacities, shortfalls, and concerns.

  • Coordinate and schedule surveys, inspections, and walkthroughs of existing mechanical systems.

  • Develop and maintain mechanical baseline and capacity reports for 50 Department of Defense (DOD) facilities.

  • Lead the Mechanical Engineering Review process, including surveys, data collection, load and capacity calculations, and recommendations.

  • Provide expert mechanical infrastructure knowledge to client engineers and construction teams.

  • Work with clients to gather and analyze critical infrastructure information and review engineering plans.

  • Analyze and provide feedback on the operation and condition of mechanical chilled water plants and other infrastructure equipment.

  • Stay up-to-date with client standards and relevant changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related scientific field, and at least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.

  • Valid state driver's license.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility and polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • E.I.T. Certification or P.E. License.

  • Prior experience with mechanical load analysis or chilled water system design.

  • Familiarity with interpreting building codes, ASHRAE specifications, and construction design drawings.

  • Demonstrated technical writing capabilities.
