About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Middle School Teacher to join our team at Crescent City Schools. As an Academic Leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Leadership: Deliver high-quality instruction in the classroom, driving student achievement and growth.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging lesson plans, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to ensure student progress and success.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in education, applying new knowledge and skills to improve instructional methods.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with grade-level and subject-level teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Student Support: Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a culture of academic excellence and social responsibility.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze student data to inform instruction, identify areas for improvement, and drive data-driven decision making.
  • Meeting and Reporting: Participate in regular meetings with colleagues and administrators to discuss student progress, share best practices, and address challenges.
  • Operational Excellence: Embody and promote the mission, vision, and values of Crescent City Schools, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Possess Louisiana Teacher Certification (or equivalent certification in another state).
  • Experience: Demonstrate a proven track record of leading academic achievement and inspiring students and colleagues.
Physical Requirements
  • Work Environment: This is an in-person role, requiring regular attendance and participation in school activities.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
