Established in 2014, Laser Logistics serves as the logistics division of MKB Company & E&S Services, dedicated to assisting businesses in navigating and adhering to the intricate and evolving regulations related to Stormwater Management.


JOB SUMMARY:
Laser Logistics is in search of a reliable, driven, and industrious heavy equipment technician to become part of our team


The Heavy Equipment Technician collaborates closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are executed promptly and within budgetary constraints.


Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities encompass all facets of maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of front-end loaders, bulk soil screeners, semi-trucks, dump trucks, and other machinery


Address mechanical repair requirements as they arise and conduct regular maintenance and inspections to minimize equipment downtime and enhance safety.


Diagnose problems, identify necessary parts to effectively complete repairs, and install components to restore machinery to optimal working condition.

Conduct routine maintenance as required.

Complete scheduled maintenance tasks alongside inspections. After inspections, recommend additional mechanical enhancements to ensure machinery operates efficiently.

Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime throughout the year, especially during peak seasons (Spring – late Summer)

Adhere to all company safety protocols and promptly complete incident reports when necessary

Fill out accident/damage/incident reports immediately following any occurrences

Maintain a high standard of customer service for both internal and external clients

Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential. May require working nights and weekends, with variable schedules and additional hours as needed

Must provide personal tools.

This position requires the candidate to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Additional duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent work experience

5-7 years of experience with heavy machinery, trucks, and production equipment preferred

Proficient in the following systems:
brakes, cooling, drive, electrical, exhaust and emissions control, heating and air conditioning, hydraulic, air, steering and suspension, and coupling services

Willingness to learn and develop within the role

Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus

Knowledge/Skills

The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outdoor weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is often exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration.

Exposure to loud noises, extreme temperatures, dust, and other environmental factors
