The MDS Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective and precise completion of the MDS assessment tool. This position is essential for reviewing care plans and their implementation, focusing on the unique needs of our patients/residents, including physical, cognitive, and social factors, to maintain our high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the comprehensive management and tracking of all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documentation to guarantee proper reimbursement for services rendered within the facility.
* Perform concurrent MDS evaluations to secure the highest allowable RUG categories.
* Collaborate with nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician teams to ensure accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications:
* Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure. LPNs with MDS experience may be considered.
* A minimum of one year of experience in long-term care nursing is required.
Compensation:
$43.00 to $45.00 per hour
