Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all areas of the college, including lobbies, offices, corridors, elevators, stairways, classrooms, entrances, and restrooms.
  • Provide detailed cleaning services, including stripping, sealing, and waxing of all resilient floors, carpet and rug vacuuming, window washing, and computer screen cleaning.
  • Dust and clean furniture and equipment, and perform other cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Sanitize and clean restrooms, and restock paper supplies.
  • Assist with event set-ups and dismantling of tables and chairs for college and community functions.
  • Assist with entrance and walkway snow removal.
  • Assist with paper and cardboard recycling.
  • Secure and unlock buildings and classrooms as needed.
  • Report maintenance problems when discovered.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating procedural manuals.
  • Assist with building evacuations when necessary.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of chemical usage.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to work with others.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Environmental certificates on an as needed basis, such as bathroom sanitation, carpet cleaning, chemical usage, etc.
