About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced North American Safety Director to oversee the development, implementation, and management of our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful EHS management, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • EHS Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize risks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of EHS professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential EHS risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in EHS management, with a minimum of 5-10 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of EHS regulations and risk management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in EHS management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
