Position Overview:

As a vital member of the Silver Reef Casino Resort, the Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering exceptional Food and Beverage service to all guests in a prompt and professional manner, adhering to all state and Casino alcohol regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure outstanding guest service is promoted at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area.
  • Engage with guests promptly and courteously.
  • Serve beverages and food efficiently to patrons.
  • Be flexible with work hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Uphold the values and standards of Silver Reef Casino Resort while on duty.
  • Adhere to Casino and state regulations regarding alcohol and health compliance.
  • Address customer complaints and suggestions, escalating issues to a Supervisor when necessary.
  • Handle and count cash following established policies and guidelines.
  • Complete side work at the end of each shift.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisors or Managers.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Capable of bending, stooping, and engaging in sensory activities such as smelling and tasting.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is essential.

Working Environment:
  • Fast-paced and noisy atmosphere.
  • Exposure to a smoking environment.
  • Temperature-controlled workspace.
  • Variety of food odors present.

Qualifications:
  • Previous guest service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Knowledge of liquor is advantageous.
  • Must obtain a Food Handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
  • Successful completion of a 90-day probationary/training period is required for continued employment.

Licensing Requirements:
  • Class II Gaming License, Food Handlers Permit, and MAST card are necessary.
