Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee and manage the sales activities of manufacturer representatives within a specific geographical region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, setting sales targets, monitoring sales performance, providing training and support to manufacturer representatives, and building relationships with key customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee a team of manufacturer representatives, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure they achieve their sales targets.
  2. Develop sales plans and strategies for your region to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  3. Prepare and conduct joint sales calls as well as sales presentations to customers and prospects with the manufacturer representatives.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key customers and partners in your region to identify business opportunities, foster loyalty, and promote the company's products or services.
  5. Track and analyze sales manufacturers' performance metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and tactics.
  6. Provide regular reports and updates to VP of Sales on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback as required.
  7. Ensure the manufacturers' representatives comply with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience in the electrical manufacturing industry required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience managing a sales rep team required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Three or more years of experience in utilizing sales CRMs required.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time required.
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience in the relay control house manufacturing preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience working in the utility market preferred.
