We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Weis Markets. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled, while also providing excellent customer service and leading a team of pharmacy technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Prescription Filling and Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled, completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Business Development and Script Growth: Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs, including immunization and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs.
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Supervise the work completed by Pharmacy Technicians and support staff, while also assisting the Pharmacy Manager with training, coaching, and managing Pharmacy associates.
- Customer Service and Counseling: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling.
- Inventory Management and Control: Assist the Pharmacy Manager with controlling inventories by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy, and Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e., APhA).
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team and communicate complex information to customers and colleagues.
- Business Acumen and Analytical Skills: Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business growth and profitability.
