Heavy Equipment Technician

Komatsu is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy construction equipment in the field or at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities- Complete all work in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
- Document machine information and repairs in the work order system.
- Maintain a clean work area and professional care of all machines, equipment, and tools.
- Identify and communicate additional repair and maintenance opportunities to management to increase customer uptime.
- Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold by the dealership.
- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while performing work assignments.
- Conduct self in the presence of customers, suppliers, and the community in a professional manner.
- Technical School/Technical College or related work experience preferred.
- Proficiency in mechanical & electrical systems (engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, emissions components).
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain a sufficient tool inventory to perform assigned tasks.
- CDL preferred but not required for Field Tech role.
