Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Technician to join our team. This role involves performing maintenance and ensuring the airworthiness of various aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and certify the operational status of systems in multiple technical specialty areas, including avionics, electrical, engine, and structural components.
- Prioritize and manage ongoing work tasks effectively.
- Oversee and validate the qualifications of fellow technicians.
- Execute In Progress Inspections (IPI) and address any identified discrepancies.
- Evaluate and inspect completed work to confirm the condition of components, including serviceability assessments.
- Perform duties related to crew leadership, aircraft repair, and maintenance.
- Assist in the launch and recovery of aircraft.
- Service, repair, and overhaul aircraft and engines to maintain airworthiness.
- Repair and replace aircraft structures and components as necessary.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures, interpreting technical documentation to guide repairs.
- Inspect engine components for wear and damage, replacing parts as needed.
- Utilize hoists or dollies for engine removal, repair, and reinstallation.
- Perform routine servicing of aircraft, including fueling and maintenance checks.
- Operate engines in aircraft or test cells as required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance actions using automated systems.
- May be required to assist in other areas of the contract based on skills and certifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; proficiency in mathematics is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, with a strong understanding of technical documentation.
- Physical capability to perform all assigned tasks, including extensive climbing and maneuvering.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
