The Aircraft Structures Technician is responsible for planning, laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing both internal and external structures and surfaces of aircraft. This role involves modifications in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.

Key responsibilities include the installation of brackets and PAO tubing, as well as swaging tubes as necessary.


  • Security clearance is mandatory.
  • Work shifts may vary between 5/8s or 4/10s based on operational needs.
  • To gain access to military bases, candidates must be prepared to provide personal information including full name, driver's license details, social security number, date of birth, gender, and contact number.
  • DoD per diem rates (lodging, M&IE) apply for the location and adhere to AFS policy: 100% for the initial 90 days, then 55% from day 91 until completion.

If the candidate is required to travel to different locations, the per diem will reset to 100% for the first 90 days, followed by 55% thereafter.


  • Candidates with prior training in areas such as FOD & Tool Control, Non-powered Ground Support Equipment, Egress Systems Familiarization, and HAZMAT Storage/Handling are encouraged to submit proof of completion with their resume.
  • It is essential to include any relevant training documentation with the application.
