Job Overview:

The Judicial Support Specialist plays a vital role in the efficient operation of the Municipal Court in the City of Marietta, GA.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary Functions: Perform various legal procedures, including cash handling, preparation, processing, and attending court hearings related to Municipal Court cases;
  • Secondary Functions: Provide customer service, utilize court records management system software, and maintain accurate records.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a court environment or closely related field;
  • Paralegal certification or an associate degree preferred, with 3 years of experience in a court environment or closely related field;
  • Knowledge of account management, business mathematics, and ability to balance daily cash collections with receipts;
  • Ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and analyze court case data, and determine data classification and establish standards;
  • General knowledge of criminal judicial system, courts, and legal terminology;
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others, including judicial officers, attorneys, supervisors, coworkers, other agencies, and the public.

Compensation: Estimated salary range: $17.88 - $20.38 per hour
