This position is hourly, nonexempt, and at-will, requiring availability for full shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut, assemble, and install piping and fittings while considering existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical systems, finishes).
  • Diagnose and repair piping and pipeline systems using various techniques.
  • Identify leaks from unknown sources effectively.
  • Perform drain cleaning utilizing diverse drain cleaning equipment.
  • Employ a range of plumbing tools and equipment (e.g., pipe wrenches, cutters, augers).
  • Interpret blueprints and building codes to determine the best work methods.
  • Analyze issues and select appropriate tools and materials for repairs.
  • Prepare written cost estimates for clients.
  • Document services rendered and recommendations by completing relevant forms and reports using the Service Titan application.
  • Communicate with clients respectfully and compassionately regarding work performed and repair recommendations.
  • Complete all tasks in line with the quality and safety standards of Moore Home Services.
  • Achieve sales targets and metrics.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant plumbing experience.
  • Strong grasp of fundamental plumbing concepts, water distribution, and waste disposal systems in residential settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Capability to manage a physically demanding workload.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support various business areas.
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
  • Valid driver's license with minimal infractions.

Working Conditions

  • Work is conducted in residential environments (attics, garages, crawl spaces, roofs).
  • Frequent standing, squatting, sitting, and crawling for extended durations.
  • Moderate exposure to physical risks.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 75 lbs.
