About the Position

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical support to dentists during patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for dental procedures, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Medical and Dental Records: Accurately record medical and dental histories, expose dental diagnostic x-rays, and update patient records.
  • Clerical Tasks: Schedule appointments, prepare bills, receive payment for dental services, complete insurance forms, and maintain clerical records.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current license/certificate within state of practice required.
  • Experience: One year experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Compliance with professional standards of practice.
    • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program (when applicable).
    • CPR certification (if applicable).
    • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
    • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
    • Ability to meet federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Successful completion of new hire training (as applicable to job site).
    • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
    • Strong communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
    • Computer proficiency.

Estimated Salary Range: $42,000 - $52,000 per annum.
