At Ledgent Finance & Accounting, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team as a Senior Accountant.

About the Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to take on a leadership role in managing financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, hands-on experience with NetSuite, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will contribute to and streamline our accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment of financial data and support business initiatives.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and assist with audits.
  • Continuously improve and optimize processes within NetSuite, leveraging the system to increase efficiency.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system is required; experience in other financial software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Experience in process improvement or system implementation projects
