We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team in the Open Heart unit. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for managing the clinical and operational activities of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions during your designated shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee staff roles on the unit, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate patient placement within the unit, considering acuity, skill mix, and staff availability.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing educational needs of the unit, promoting staff development and growth.
  • Participate and direct patient care conferences, addressing discharge needs and ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Ensure that rounds are made with physicians, maintaining open communication and addressing patient concerns.
  • Keep informed of patient condition changes, making appropriate clinical decisions and ensuring timely implementation of orders.
Qualifications:
  • 2 Years of Recent acute care Charge Nurse Open Heart RN (CVOR) experience REQUIRED
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained before employment start date
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
