Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Our organization leverages Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies to oversee the IT infrastructure that underpins essential business operations. The ideal candidate will be part of a vibrant, multi-disciplinary team tasked with the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of the enterprise IT framework, which encompasses secure cloud-based and on-premises environments. Responsibilities for the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Exploring available technology solutions and assessing their functional, performance, security, and interoperability features; conducting testing and evaluation of technology components;
  • Collaborating with system architects and lead engineers to enhance the architecture and design of the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions;
  • Creating, developing, and updating technology-specific, configurable, and reusable automation modules for network and systems infrastructure, data storage, messaging, and cybersecurity components and services;
  • Establishing, developing, and updating infrastructure configuration code for both new and existing enterprise IT solutions;
  • Improving and maintaining DevOps infrastructure, including source code repositories (Git), deployment pipelines, and associated components;
  • Planning, assessing, and executing capacity optimization, updates, upgrades, and other lifecycle management activities related to the solution; resolving functional and performance issues;
  • Generating and maintaining comprehensive and precise system documentation, including design and configuration plans, design diagrams, task-oriented procedures, operations and maintenance plans, etc.

Specific qualifications for this role include:

  • 5 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, implementation, and support roles;
  • Advanced expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps architectures, processes, and best practices;
  • Extensive experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), libraries, development tools (e.g., Visual Studio), source code management systems (e.g., Git), build servers, artifact repositories, and related components;
  • Familiarity with application lifecycle management systems, such as Atlassian Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.;
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Windows platform and services, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), application deployment frameworks, networking, and storage services, along with their cybersecurity characteristics, logging, monitoring, and auditing capabilities;
  • Hands-on experience with MS Azure and cloud services, including compute, database, storage, network virtualization, and security services;
  • Understanding of network infrastructure, operational concepts, and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Syslog, etc.

General skills:

  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written);
  • Proficiency with workflow and lifecycle management systems (e.g., Atlassian Jira).

Education and Certification:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Certification:
    • Microsoft Certified Professional / Systems Engineer certification is highly preferred;
    • Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: $140,000.00 to $155,000.00 per annum

*The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be determined based on various factors, including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
