Nurse Clinical Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The Clinical Support Resource RN - Operating Room is a vital role at Medical City Healthcare, where you will provide guidance and education to new graduate nurses and/or nurses transitioning to a new specialty. This position requires a strong understanding of the hospital's standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rounds on each nursing unit to observe and assess the quality of patient care being delivered.
- Identify nursing educational needs and provide guidance and education to nurses within scope of support.
- Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
- Ensure that nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice.
Requirements:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Preceptor certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Satori Alternatives Management Aggression certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Currently licensed as a registered TX RN or compact license.
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
- 2+ years experience as an acute care RN required.
- 1+ years experience in a leadership role preferred.
- 1+ years experience as a preceptor preferred.
