Job Title: Registered Nurse PRN

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at Texas Health Resources as a Registered Nurse PRN in our Labor and Delivery department.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Labor and Delivery unit. As a PRN nurse, you will have the opportunity to work a variety of shifts, including nights, and be part of a close-knit team that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care
  • Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information
  • Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
Requirements:
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • CLIAFE compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days from hire is required
  • IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification upon hire preferred - will obtain within 6 months of hire
  • NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
  • 1 Year as a registered nurse required
  • 2 years Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred
