Job Summary

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for booking private event functions and supporting the Director of Catering Sales. This role requires excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work effectively under time constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Book private event functions and maintain or exceed budgeted booking goals and revenue.
  • Sell to a variety of market segments and consistently book repeat business.
  • Participate in industry-related organizations and utilize sales techniques to close deals.
  • Conduct site inspections and client presentations, and participate in trade shows and sales blitzes.
  • Work closely with the banquet department on operations and event execution.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in catering sales, with a similar size property and sales volume.
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of venue features, benefits, and competing venues within the market.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
