Senior Level Diesel Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Diesel Technician to join our team at Ryder in Bridgeton, Missouri. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs on our heavy duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
  • Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of their complaint
  • Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply knowledge of computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire

  • Hourly Pay: $37.60 per hour
